Get started with a Seed Project

Do you have an idea in mind for a development project?

With a Seed Project, we invest time in understanding the idea, unfolding different usage scenarios and creating visual prototypes that can be validated in simulated usage scenarios, so that we have an idea of the effect of the solution models' effect and profitability.

Why start with a Seed Project?

IT projects and particularly new ideas are often associated with a certain degree of uncertainty, complexity or a steep financial investment. With a Seed Project, we try to address any uncertainties and find out where there could be potential challenges, so that we can get ahead of them. The time invested in the Seed Project is often well spent, as it paints a more accurate picture of what the end result can be. This means that the project becomes more specific, the estimates more realistic and that the decisions about the project are taken on a more informed basis.

The benefits of a Seed Project

The most important task with a Seed Project is to find out whether it is a good investment for you, before too much money is invested in an IT project that cannot deliver on the objectives that lay behind the original idea. But in addition to the clarification of the project idea, there will also, depending on the Seed Project's topic, be prototypes and research that can be taken forward as building blocks for a new or other project.

What does a Seed Project consist of?

A typical Seed Project often takes around 50 hours and is made up of 4 parts and a handover.

  • Step 1: Knowledge sharing - Understanding of the industry, company and the origin of the idea
  • Step 2: The idea unfolds - Strategy & the business perspective
  • Step 3: The project is defined - Prioritization & concretization
  • Step 4: Product design - UI/UX & Prototypes

At the final handover, you will receive all the material, including prototypes, wireframes and documentation. If the results from the Seed Project confirm that the project is worth the investment, we can either continue the collaboration and begin development, or you can take the results to another supplier - "no hard feelings".

What’s after the Seed Project?

When we are nearing the end and have to review the handover, we have a dialogue about whether we should continue the collaboration and be responsible for the development of the solution.

If we continue the collaboration, we will break down the development into smaller deliveries and find out together with you which deliveries are required for us to make the first launch.
